Hallo,
es gibt Neuigkeiten zum MK2-Update, das die kommenden Wochen erscheinen soll:
Alles anzeigenHi All,
I thought some might like to know about how Signalling updates for Upgrade Mk2 are coming along. Here is some of the new functionality we have added to signalling scripts:
Control Signals defaulting to Danger. In this instances, all control signals hold effectively an 'internal state' as well as a display state. The internal state being the true state of the track and its occupancy, while the display state is what the Player and AI trains are shown until such time that a train wishes to pass the signal. At this point the internal state becomes the display state.
Approach Control from Red. Again, this is done using internal and display states. Once the train is in sight of the signal, the internal state is displayed and the train will be shown an appropriate proceed aspect depending on the occupancy beyond the signal
Approach Control from Flashing Yellows. Exactly the same as above, but developed for higher speed junctions such as the avoiding line at Didcot on the Oxford to Paddington line.
As a reminder, the above functionality has been completed without any code changes to Rail Simulator. It has all been developed in notepad using only the LUA signal scripting system. I would invite developers to (on release of Upgrade Mk2) observe the signal scripts before and after to see how such functionality has been added.
More signalling features are still being added, so there will be more to update you on soon.
